Dwight "Duey" Merle Cowley, passed away May 16, 2023, at the young age of 54 at Elkhart General due to health complications. He leaves behind his daughter Samantha (Dustin) Campbell and their three children Neveah, Chloe and Lily as well as son Craig (Sarah) Cowley and their three children Sheila Tagger, Sarinah Jacobs and Liam Cowley. Also surviving are brothers Norman (Kimberley) Corbin and Steve (Paula) Corbin. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and ex wife Tina Stephens. Dwight has been reunited with his parents Orville Paul and Rose Marie (Wyse) Cowley, sister Cindy Garcia and former fiance Bonnie June (Vest) Markley.

Dwight will always be remembered for the way he could always make a person laugh and smile, no matter how serious the situation was, even on their worst days. He could and would make you smile at least once. Dwight loved working in Pizza Establishments, which began at age 18 with Little Ceasars. From there he went to work for Pizza Hut. He also enjoyed remodeling homes and doing construction work for homes and businesses. He wasn't all work and no play though. Past times included Dungeons and Dragons (D+D) with family and friends, his favorite music was Rock no matter the genre, Bob Segar was his favorite artist. Dwight also enjoyed stand up comedy, Rodney Carrington and Jeff Foxworthy being two of his favorites as they never failed to make him laugh. A celebration of life will be held at a later date once the family can plan it out.
