Eddy's Own Words:

I spent my formative years in the Philippines during the Japanese occupation and was later liberated and returned to the United States. I served in the U.S. Marine Corps, completing three years of active duty and extended reserve service during the Vietnam crisis. I was deployed to both the Far East and the Middle East, serving in various operational sectors, and was honorably discharged.

I pursued higher education at Indiana University, where I earned an MBA. I also attended Wesley University, majoring in Biochemistry and Economics.
In my free time, I enjoy sailing, reading, and spending quality time with my family.

A Few Words About Dad:

Dad had a gift for fixing things—always tinkering, always lending a hand. If someone he loved needed anything, he was quick to offer his support, often slipping them a few coins "just in case." His generosity knew no bounds; he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need—and he truly did.

He was especially known for sharing joy in simple ways: handing out Oreos to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren on every occasion and regularly dropping off donuts and coffee to brighten his adult children's workdays.

Dad loved being on the water, especially at Lake Wawasee, and cherished time spent with family. He loved Jesus deeply and often surprised us by showing up at church on Sundays to worship together.

His favorite scriptures were Psalm 23 and John 14, and he would want everyone to know the truth and hope found in these verses. Dad believed wholeheartedly in God's love, the salvation offered through Jesus Christ, and the promise of eternal life.

While we grieve his absence today, we hold fast to our faith in Jesus—and rejoice in the hope that we will one day be reunited.

He was our loving Dad, Pop's, Daddy-O, and Papaw and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be private, and burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN 46561.

Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
