Edgar Wolfe passed away peacefully on the evening of December 26 at his home in Granger, IN. He was 65 and was preceded in death by his father Delmar Wolfe and mother, JoAnn (Byars) Wolfe. He is survived by a brother, Michael Wolfe, a niece Jessica (Wolfe) Dennis and a nephew Ethan Wolfe. During his youth, he participated in St. Joseph County 4-H horse and pony clubs. Edgar was a 1976 graduate of Penn High School, where he was a member of the wrestling team. After graduation, he worked as a welder and transitioned into van conversions. Then in his late twenties, he began his 30 year career as a union carpenter building bridges throughout Northern Indiana. Edgar was well known and highly respected in the racing community making many lifelong friends through his years. He was a proud 40 year member of the Sod Busters off road club. Serving on many committees and holding many offices, Edgar brought great knowledge and passion to the club. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 4, 2023 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday January 5, 2023 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN 46561. A service will follow visitation on Thursday January 5, 2023 at 12:00 pm.
