Mishawaka - Edith Juanita Becker, 94, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, with her loving family by her side at Tanglewood Trace Assisted Living.

Edith was born on December 8, 1931, in Bertrand Township, Michigan, to the late Wilbur and Glenice (Keck) Stroup. She met the love of her life, Clinton L. Becker, and they were united in marriage on June 25, 1950, in South Bend, Indiana. Clinton preceded her in death in 1984.

In addition to her husband and parents, Edith was preceded in death by her brothers, Glenn Stroup and Jerry Stroup, and her brothers-in-law, Ralph P. Davis and William G. Zapalski.

Edith is survived by her sisters, Laurene Davis, Esther Zapalski, and Jennie (Peter) Krumrey, and numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

Edith found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved reading, crocheting, knitting, and creating beautiful needlepoint crafts. In her younger years, she took great pride in tending her flower gardens, where she spent many happy hours cultivating colorful blooms and feeding the birds.

In accordance with Edith’s wishes, no services will be held.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
