Edith L. Tutorow, 82, of Elkhart, passed away at 6:30 am, Tuesday, September 29, 2009 in Woodland Manor, Elkhart surrounded by family. Edith was born on April 13, 1927 in New Castle, IN to the late Walter J. and Lucille (Sellers) Mahoney. On May 13, 1942, she married Robert E. Tutorow, who passed away on April 9, 1982. She is also preceded in death by one daughter, Vickie Richart.
Edith is survived by three daughters, Marylin S. (Tom) Harrison of Wayne, OH, Phyllis (Darrell) Lester of Elkhart, and Carrie D. (Billy Lee) Shepherd of Jerome, MO and one son, Robert E. Tutorow, Jr. of South Bend. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
She was a member of Solid Rock Church of Elkhart and volunteered her time with Real Services.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, October 1, 2009 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, October 2, 2009 in the funeral home with Rev. Mike Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
