Edward F. "Bud" Rosenbalm Sr., age 80, of Mishawaka, passed away at his home Friday, November 18, 2011. Ed was born April 27, 1931 to the late Edward and Irene (Eaton) Rosenbalm in Moline, Illinois. On July 27, 1949, he married Beulah Jacobs in Mishawaka, Indiana. They celebrated 62 wonderful years of marriage.
Beulah survives, along with Ed''s siblings, Thomas Canum and Arlene Gorton, both of California, and his brother in laws Harry (Nancy) Jacobs and Jerome "Torch" Torzewski. Mr. Rosenbalm was preceded in death by his son Robert in 2000 and his son Edward in 2007.
Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the 2:30 pm funeral service on Monday, November 21, 2011 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Ed was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1950. He was employed for many years as a supervisor in plant engineering at Michiana Community Hospital in South Bend prior to his retirement. A family oriented man, Ed enjoyed fishing with his wife and sons, hunting, and playing cards with his family.
The Rosenbalm family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Ansari, and Dr. Tran and their staffs for the professional and caring manor in which they treated Ed during his illness.
