Our beloved father, Edward Guy Hardy died Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Hubbard Hill Retirement Community. Ed was 95, born August 17, 1921, and was a lifetime resident of Elkhart. He was married to Donna Green, together they raised four children, Larry, Cathie, Doug and Carol. He was a loving grandfather and great grandfather, sharing imaginary characters and wonderful stories and love with all. Dad was proud of his service to our country during WWII. He enlisted in the Army Air Corp, and spent the duration stationed in India where he served as a crew chief servicing airplanes. Much of his working career was spend as a representative/organizer for the AFL-CIO union. He was highly respected and recognized for his even temperament, fair treatment of others and belief and respect for the working man. Dad will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was predeceased by our mother Donna and sister ,Cathie. Funeral Services 10:00 Friday February 24, 2017 in the chapel at Hubbard Hill Retirement Community, 28070 County Road 24, Elkhart, where friends may call one hour prior to services.
