Obituary

Elkhart – Edward Loyd Williamson, 81, passed away peacefully following a brief illness on May 31, 2026, at Woodland Manor & Nursing Rehabilitation.

Edward was born on February 22, 1945, in Gibson, Tennessee, to the late Eulas and Corene (Durden) Williamson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Dyehouse, Brenda Mast, and Carolyn Williamson.

A hardworking and dedicated man, Edward spent many years working at a local sawmill, a job he took great pride in. Outside of work, he enjoyed attending stock car races at New Paris Speedway, where he could often be found cheering on his favorite drivers. He was also an avid pool player who appreciated spending time with friends and fellow enthusiasts. He also enjoyed working in the garden, especially growing green beans.

Edward will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of racing, and the quiet way he stayed connected to those around him. Most of all, he was a loving brother, uncle, and friend whose presence will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sisters, Hazel Heath and Margaret Guerrero, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Edward's wishes, no services will be held.

Edward's family extends their gratitude to the caregivers at Woodland Manor & Nursing Rehabilitation for their compassionate care and support.
