Elbert Campbell, age 76, of Tucson, Arizona, formerly of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away at his residence on January 12, 2011. Elbert was born December 4, 1934 in West Virginia to the late Ervin and Millie (Stewart) Campbell. On February 26, 1955, Elbert married Mary Rucker in West Virginia.
His wife, Mary Campbell of Tucson, Arizona survives, along with their four children; Jackie (Jim) Fackelman of Edwardsburg, MI, Kathy Brewer of Santa Fe, NM, Rex (Leslie) Campbell of Elkhart, and Travis J. Campbell of Tucson, AZ. Elbert is also survived by his 9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, along with his siblings, Charles (Nancy) Campbell of Belle, WV, Harry (Gladis) Campbell of WV, Carrie Moore of Pleasant City, OH, Linda Collins of WV, and Alice (Joe) Pendleton of Elkhart, IN.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm Friday, January 21, 2011 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana. There will also be one hour of calling prior to the 11:00 am Funeral Service on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Elbert enjoyed traveling and sightseeing around the Tucson area, and watching western movies. He was deeply devoted to his wife of 55 years, and was involved with his local Church in Arizona.
