Obituary

Elizabeth "Betty" Margret McCavitt, 96, of Granger, passed away at 8:44 am, Monday, November 7, 2011, at Michiana Health & Rehab, surrounded by family. Betty was born on July 26, 1915, in Cassopolis Michigan, the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Nemeth. She is also preceded in death by two sisters, Julia Elek, Mary Nussbaum and one brother, Joseph Nemeth Jr., and a great-grandchild, Kristen Miller.
Betty married Clifford McCavitt on August 1st, 1953, who passed away in 1987. Surviving are her sons, Lawrence (Mary) McCavitt of Centreville, MI., Ronald (Cheryl) McCavitt of Stillwell, KS. and Donald (Linda) McCavitt of Granger, IN. In addition, nine grandchildren, Matthew McCavitt, Patrick McCavitt, Ryan McCavitt, Elizabeth Anne McCavitt, Jennifer McCavitt, Brian McCavitt, Brianne Brown, Jamie Rousselow and Karrie Miller. Fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, November 10, 2011 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday, November 11, 2011 in the funeral home. Rev. William Schooler will officiate. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
The family prefers memorials to be sent to the Center for Hospice, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, IN 46637.
