Elsie Sara Christine (Sundell) Larson, 96, formerly of Granger, died Wednesday August 6, 2014 in Brown County. She was born in Pittsburg PA on May 11, 1918 and lived the first half of her life in Corapolis PA. In 1942, she married Eric Larson, who preceded Elsie in death in 1969, as did their son, Samuel in 1979. She is survived by her children, David (Sharon Renshaw) Larson of Columbus IN and Christine (David) Larson Seitz; her grandchildren, David & Aaron Douberteen and Eric & Andy Larson; step-grandchildren, Lori Seitz Rider and Brian Seitz, and seven great-grandchildren. Elsie was a lifelong musician, playing the piano & organ for church and for local recitals & radio broadcasts. She was an avid reader, loved to sew and was an accomplished cook & baker. She and her family moved to South Bend in 1960 where she then became an active member of the Swedish Evangelical Covenant Church. The family later were members at Gospel Center Missionary Church in River Park. In her later years Elsie resided at Hubbard Hill Retirement Center and finally, moved to Columbus IN and the Brown County Retirement Center. Funeral Services 2:00 Sunday August 10, 2014 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. with calling one hour prior to services. Burial in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
