Emma Jean Fultz, age 80, of Osceola, Indiana, formerly of Niles, Michigan, passed away at her residence on Saturday, September 12, 2009 of natural causes. Emma Jean was born May 26, 1929 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late John and Ida (Braun) Helm. In 1947, Emma Jean was united in marriage to the late Frederick Lee Fultz. He preceded her in death, passing away in 2005.
Surviving are her children, Mark Lee Fultz of Osceola, Indiana and Sharon Elrod of Niles, Michigan, a daughter-in-law, Karen Fultz, and eight grandchildren as well as her best friend Mercy Priest. Emma Jean was preceded in death by her infant son Frederick Lee Fultz Jr. and her son Fred Lee Fultz.
There will be no visitation or services. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Fultz was employed for many years as a Business Manager with an advertising coropration until her retirement in 2000. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida, Europe, and Hawaii. In her spare time, she also enjoyed reading.
The Fultz family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to the many caregivers who assisted during Emma Jean''s time of need; especially Dr. Smith of Memorial Hospital for her care and compassion toward others.
In her memory, contributions may be made to any Veteran''s Service Organization.
