Mary Estell Chrisman, 96, of Elkhart, died Sunday May 7, 2017 at home. The Rocky Hill, AR native was born November 3, 1920, the 15th of 16 children to Roah & Katherine (Brewer) Miller. Estell spent most of her life in California, retired as an inspector for Sunmaid Raisins and moved to Elkhart several years ago to be closer to her family. Survivors include her grandchildren, Shirley R. "Roxanne" (Lonnie) Rowe of Elkhart, Steven (Carol) Kern in North Carolina, Robin (Donald) Bowen of Union MI, Rhonda J. Kern of Elkhart, Rick Kern of Elkhart, Willis (Bobbett) Walker of Elkhart and her sisters, Floy E. Utter in Arkansas & Norma Eggers of Osceola. In addition to her parents and 13 of her siblings, Estell was preceded in death by her daughter, Glen D. Kern in 2007. Funeral Services 1:00 Thursday May 11, 2017 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, with calling from 12-1pm. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
