NILES, MI- Esther M. Peters, age 95, passed away on January 12, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

She was born February 19, 1923 in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late Chancy and Carol Kerr Geiger. After Esther graduated from Edwardsburg High School, she married Wilmer "Pete" Peters. She was a homemaker and for a short time worked at Ball Band. Esther enjoyed following local and national current events and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Niles, MI.

Esther is survived by her brother, Frank Geiger of Niles, MI; nieces, Dawn (Ken) Shepard of Niles, MI, Iris Geiger of Niles, MI, Rhonda Neal of Niles, MI, Debbie (Bob) Jorgensen of Niles, MI, and Wendy (Dave) Gilliland of Mishawaka, IN; nephews, Jim (Agnes) Geiger of Niles, MI and Rod (Melisa) Geiger of Massillon, OH; She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Tom and Oliver Geiger; sister, Martha Geiger.

Funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 Mckinley Hwy., Osceola, IN. Friends may call Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
