Ethelene C. Griggs, 89, formerly of Osceola, died Tuesday February 26, 2013 in Elk Grove, California. The Lawrence Co, Tennessee native was born November 10, 1923 to Wesley and Waymon (Gallaher) Butler. A retired Nursing Assistant, she was a former member of First General Baptist Church in Mishawaka. Ethelene was preceded in death by her husband, Homer L. Griggs. Survivors include her children, David Holt of Colorado Springs CO, Dwight Holt of Mishawaka , Carolyn (Harry) Nunley of Bland VA, J.R. (Carol) Griggs of Lincoln CA; Roger (Andrea) Griggs of Santa Rosa CA , Sheri (Gene) Oxley of Elk Grove CA and Cyndi (Jose) Ortiz of Osceola; several grandchildren & great-grandchildren, and her brother, Andy Butler of St. Louis MO. Funeral Services 11:00 Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, with Rev. John Fisher and Rev. Dan Nicols officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services.
