Eugene W. "Geno" Johnson, 67, of Mishawaka, died Saturday December 12, 2015. The South Bend native was born December 18, 1947 to Haskell & Dorothy (Dorbowski) Johnson. Gene served over 20 years in the US Army and retired in 1992. He was a member of the VFW post #360, VFW Chapter #19 and American Legion Post #308, where he served in the color guard. Gene enjoyed fishing & camping, spending time with family & friends and was an avid Notre Dame Football & Denver Broncos fan. Gene is survived by his wife, Cheri Johnson of Mishawaka; his children, Tony (Shari) Johnson of Canton OH, Bridget (Ken) Kwiatkowski of Houston TX, Barbara (John) Switalski of Bremen, Brittany (Chris Snyder) Johnson of Mishawaka and Jerome Johnson of Mishawaka; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 5 brothers & sisters. Funeral Services 2:00 Wednesday December 16, 2015 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 930 Park Place, Mishawaka. Friend may call from 12-2pm in the church.
