Eva Jane (Scott) Barajas, 78, of South Bend, IN passed away surrounded by her loved ones on May 27, 2021 in her home in South Bend. She was born to the late Leroy Sr and Frances (Gilmore) Scott on April 30, 1943 in Osceola, IN. She married the love of her life Benjamin Barajas. Ben & Eva was a member of the Indiana United Pentecostal Church since 1967 under Pastor Kenneth Mendenhall and Eva received the holy ghost in "67" she was also part of the church chior and a Sunday school teacher. Then left church in "72" and rejoined in "91" after the passing of their son John and joined Ironwood United Pentecostal Church under Pastor Kenneth Mendenhall and later under Pastor Clint Walker where they are still members.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be missed.

She is survived by her husband Benjamin; her children, Tina Grubbs (Robert), Michelle Granado (Michael), Jeffery Barajas (Trinity) and Starlene Goen (David); daughter in law Kathy Conkle; grandchildren, Joni Maggart (Adam), Khristina Evans (Jeremy), Tracey Reames (Brian), Erick Conkle, Danielle Wade (James), Michael Barajas (Lily), Benjamin Tutorow (Ashley), Jeffery Tutorow, Katie Fahey (Scott), Johnathon York (Karen), Emily Miller, Robert Troyer (Michelle), Ryan Reynolds (Anna), Addison Barajas, Brooke Reynolds, Marissa Thorley (Brian), David Goen Jr., Rosita (Bill),Rodger Grubbs (Sherry), Richard Grubbs (Kristi) ; 56 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son John Conkle; siblings, Doris Brubaker, Virginia Stanner, Barbara Packingham, Victor Scott, David Scott, Leroy Scott and  her grand daughter Sherry K. Williams
Services for Eva will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 6PM at United Penecostal Church 4609 S. Ironwood Dr. South Bend, IN 46614. Friends may visit from 4PM until time of service. Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, IN is honored to care for the Barajas Family.
