Evan Mitchell Locke, 21, of Osceola, Indiana, passed away on July 8, 2022 at Memorial Hospital. Evan was born on March 4, 2001 to (mother) Gwen Colley and (father) Stacey Locke in South Bend, Indiana.

Evan was a protector over anything especially the ones he loved, he was a family man at heart, and would do anything in his power to make sure they always had their needs, wants, and everything in between. Evan had so many dreams he aspired to accomplish as he had his dream job at such a young age, a mechanical service technician at Perry/Dytech Automotive in Mishawaka, and one day, was hoping to open his very own Automotive Shop. Evan loved absolutely anything to do with any type of vehicle, as he dreamed of building his very own truck into his dream car. Nothing was better to Evan than a night at the roller skating rink, simply sitting at a campfire, a good ole race, or shooting off a bunch of rounds at any target he could. Evan always dreamed of having a family of his own, as that dream became a reality as Evan and his Fiancé, Carmyn Pollock, welcomed their beautiful  daughter, Nova, into the world this past February. There's absolutely nothing Evan loved more than being a father to his little girl, and he couldn't wait to see the person she would grow up to be. We are thankful that everyday Evan was here with us, he got to live out his dreams. He was the most kind, helpful, hardworking, and loving soul that anyone could have ever met. He will be remembered in the hearts of so many, as his love and legacy will continue to spread with the years to come.

Evan is preceded in death by his (maternal) grandmother, Betty (Ford) Colley, and beloved aunt, Julie (Colley) Ward, (paternal grandparents)

Evan is survived by his fiancé Carmyn Pollock (daughter) Nova June Locke (mother) Gwen Colley, (father) Stacey Locke (sisters), Karis Colley, Riley (Colley) Hancock, Jennifer Locke, Aubrey Colley,(brother)Tyler Locke and (grandfather)  Allen Colley.

A funeral service in his honor will take place on Monday July 18, 2022 at 1 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.  Pastor Peter Johnson will officiate .  Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family for 2 hours prior to  the funeral service.

Evan's employer, Dytech Autogroup, has set up the Evan Locke Family Fund on gofundme for memorial contributions.
