Obituary

Evelyn L. Kulwicki, 84, of Trail Creek, IN, passed away at 8:20 am, Monday, December 13, 2010 in her home. Evelyn was born on October 5, 1926, the daughter of Louis and Hattie (Scymanowski) Botka. On October 25, 1947 in South Bend, she married Robert Kulwicki. He passed away on April 5, 2006.
Evelyn is survived by a daughter, Georgianne (fianc Louie A. Sobecki) Schroeder and three sons, Stephen (Stephanie) Kulwicki of La Porte, IN, Gregory (Lou Ann) Kulwicki of Murfreesboro, TN, and Jeffery (Vicki) Kulwicki of New Carlisle, IN, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Alice Janiszczak of Howe, IN, five brothers, Richard (Alice) Botka of South Bend, Clem Botka of South Bend, Chet Botka of La Porte, John (Marilyn) Botka of South Bend and Gene (Nancy) Botka of Granger and a sister in law, Betty Botka of South Bend.
She worked for RACO for over 26 years before retiring. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Evelyn helped out at Hamilton Grove Nursing Home transporting people to and from church.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, December 16, 2010 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, December 17, 2010 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, 55756 Tulip Road, New Carlisle with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Rev. Paul McCarthy will officiate.
