MISHAWAKA -Evelyn L. Brown, 92, of Mishawaka, died Saturday December 30, 2017. The Mishawaka native was born August 12, 1925 to Ernest & Ethel (Walters) Watts. On May 13, 1944, Evelyn married Charles Brown (Sr.) who preceded her in death in 1998. Evelyn was devoted to her family; she was known for being very orderly, she raised six children which always kept her busy but she was always ready to welcome people in her home. In addition to her parents and husband, Evelyn was also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda L. Hoffer; her brothers, William & Robert Watts and her sisters, Dorothy Warren, Lois Holderman and Luella Swift. Evelyn is survived by her sons, Charles (Marilyn) Brown, Jr. and Michael (Theckla) Brown, both of Golden Valley AZ, William R. Brown of Elkhart and Joseph Brown of Mishawaka; her daughter, Lisa L. Jones of Mishawaka, 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services 10:00 Saturday January 6, 2018 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy.
