Ewell D. "Joe" Holstein, 71, of Elkhart, died on November 2, 2018 surrounded by his family.  Joe was born on August 1, 1947 in Rand, West Virginia to Ernest and Louise (Rombo) Holstein.On August 1, 1974, Joe married Linda June Gibson.  She preceded him in death on April 27, 2003.  Joe worked for Elkhart Rubber and Dexter Axle for many years.  He enjoyed bingo, and watching sports-especially the Cincinnati Reds baseball and the Colts football teams.  Joe is survived by his children, Clifton Paul Dannielle) Thompson Jr., Gregory Thompson, and Jennifer (Lucas) Williams all of Elkhart; nine grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and two brothers and one sister.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and his loving wife of 28 years, Linda.  Friends and family may call on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 5-8 PM in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN  46561.  A funeral service in Joe's honor will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 2 PM in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
