Faye M. Jones, age 78, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away at 1:50 pm Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the Hospice House of Elkhart County of natural causes. Faye was born August 21, 1930 in Grundy, Virginia to the late Tom and Rosie (Davis) Tipton. Faye married Mr. Junior Wallace Roberts who preceded her in death in 1971, and on August 9, 1974, married John Jones.
John survives, along with 5 sons; Jerry (Becky) Roberts of Bristol, Jon Roberts of Granger, Jack (Pamela) Roberts of Bristol, Jim (Carla) Roberts of Edwardsburg, Michigan, and Jeff (Kim) Roberts of Osceola. Faye is also survived by her daughter Judy (Darrell) Collier of Bristol, her step daughter Kathy (Randy) Smith and her step-brother, Elmer Mullins of Virginia as well as 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jacqueline Roberts.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana. Pastor Ira Crise will perform the 4:00 pm Funeral Ceremony at Chapel Hill with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Faye enjoyed planting flowers in her garden, making crafts, knitting and crocheting, and quilting. She enjoyed spending time with her family as well. Faye also attended the Word of Life Fellowship Church in Elkhart.
