ELKHART- Faye Schenk 81 went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday morning at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Mishawaka IN. She was born to William and Edna (Miller) Ray in Detroit MI. Faye was a graduate of Jimtown High school with the class of 1953. On May 23, 1954 she married the love of her life Raymond Schenk and they would work together for over twenty five years at the First Baptist Church of Elkhart. She was an avid reader of paperback books but she really got pleasure out of reading the Bible. In her earlier years she was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children and also babysitting her sister''s daughters. Faye loved her flower gardens and being outdoors. Faye was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her spouse Ray, sons Mark (Dixie), Bradley (Jan), Greg (Becky) and seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a fourth great grandchild on the way, a sister Billie (Seth)Kniffin. A gathering of friends and family will be December 17, 2015 from 12:00-2:00pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home 10776 McKinley Highway Osceola IN. 46561 a funeral service will immediately follow starting at 2:00pm with Dr. Daniel Gelatt officiating.
