Ferenc "Frank" Szabo, 68, of Mishawaka, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2010 at home. Frank was born on April 14, 1942, the son of Ferenc and Amalia (Baan) Szabo in Szombathely, Hungary. On December 14, 1965, he married Carol Teske. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Carol and their four children, Andrea (James) Cummins of Granger, Anthony (Lisa) Szabo of Naperville, IL, Aimee (Brian) Costa of Mishawaka and Aaron (Casey) Szabo of Mishawaka, eight grandchildren, Ashley (Jason) Hughes, Kari Fuchs, Amanda Szabo, Brandon Szabo, Arriana Solomon, Ashlyn Costa, Isabella Costa, Gabriella Costa. He is also survived by his mother, Amalia Galos of South Bend, a brother, Ernest (Nancy) Galos of South Bend, Aunt, Irene (Peter) Horvath of Niles, MI and a cousin Angeline Farkas of South Bend, Lou Somagyi of Granger, IN Frank proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1966. He worked as a Production Scheduler for Wheelabrator and was a member of the VFW Post 284. Frank attended Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. He will be remembered for his love of coaching and playing soccer and as an avid swimmer parent. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am Monday, December 13, 2010 in the funeral home with Rev. John Gregory officiating.
