Fount Smith, 62, of Elkhart, passed away on June 21, 2010 in his home. Fount was born on August 3, 1947 in Fount, KY to the late Letch and Laura (Tanksley) Smith. He owned and operated Smitty''s Roto Rooter for many years and was also an auto mechanic.
He is survived by three children, Laura Smith of Elkhart, Fount (Bridget) Smith, Jr. and James Rupright, both of Goshen; six grandchildren, Daimon, Jocelyn, James, Zachary, Cayden, and Conner. He is also survived by a brother, Otis Smith of Libety, IN and his sisters, Alice Jordan of Corbin, KY, Cora Mills of Cannon, KY, Elizabeth Mills, of Cannon, KY, Roxie Mills of Fount, KY and Nettie Garrison of Woolum, KY. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Beachel Smith and sister, Nannie Caldwell.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, June24, 2010 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 26, 2010 in the funeral home with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola
