Frances "Juanita" Quinn, 99, of Osceola, passed away peacefully at 6:20 AM on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Hospice Comfort House in Mishawaka, IN.
Juanita was born on May 7, 1922 in Cotton Plant, Arkansas to the late Arthur and Callie Thompson. In 1938, she married Garland L. Quinn who preceded her in death in 1982. Together they had three daughters. Juanita loved gardening, canning, planting flowers around her birthday, bowling, and she was a great cook. She always wanted to feed everyone when they came to visit.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Frances (Dodd) Phillips; granddaughter, Kimberly Bennett; and siblings, Mary Ela Sullivan, Willis Thompson, Rena Eileen Wiggs, Wesley Oneida Thompson (Juanita's twin), Nadine Young, Doris Stuard, and Emma Lee Foster.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Schwind of Osceola and Callie Pettit of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Debra Klotz, Kerry Dodd, Amy Standridge, Kenny Dodd, Terry Knoblock, Jr., Tracy Weisner, Garland Knoblock, and Daniel Knoblock; 19 great grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. Entombment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Juanita's name to the Center for Hospice-Raclin House in Mishawaka, IN.
Services have been entrusted to Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
