Obituary

Frances A. Rorie, 74, of Elkhart, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011. Frances was born in Henderson, Tennessee on September 20, 1937, the daughter of the late J.R. and Lillie Mae (Jones) McCaskill. In February of 1954, she was united in marriage to Dolton Rorie in Roseland, Indiana. Frances was a homemaker. She was also a very talented musician and singer. "She used her talent from God to touch the lives of many through her music and teaching. Her heart for the Lord as well as her love of music never faltered, even to the closing days of her life here on Earth. Her genuine care and concern for others showed through her wonderful sense of humor and her excellent example of Christianity and friendship to those around her." Her husband Dolton survives, along with their son Steve Rorie and his wife Debbie of Elkhart. Also surviving is her grandson Trace and his wife Stephanie, as well as her soon to be born great-granddaughter, Addison Grace Rorie, whom Frances was so looking forward to meeting for the first time. Surviving as well are her sisters, Betty Rorie and her husband Eulis of Osceola and Imogene Thornton of Covington, Louisiana. Frances was preceded in death by her brother, Larry McCaskill.
