Frances L. (Shorb) Tilton, 92, of Granger, passed away at 11:30pm, Saturday, March 4, 2017 in the comfort of her own home. Fran was born on November 29, 1924 in Boulder, Colorado to Mark Shephard Cruthers and Grace Rosie Wright. On April 4, 1974, she married Raymond Tilton. "Frances had the special gift of love and laughter; you never left her house without feeling loved. She had a smile of encouragement that enabled you to do more than you ever thought possible. She was loved greatly by many." She is survived by nine children, Jerry (Karen) Shorb of Galesburg, MI, Melvin (Mary Ann) Shorb of Kalamazoo, MI, Brett (Cindy) Shorb of Bluffton, IN, Verna (Steve) Laskowski of Granger, IN, Robert (Kathy) Shorb of Galesburg, MI, Cindy (Scott) Johnson of Elkhart, IN, Russ (Teresa) Tilton of Memphis, TN, Sylvia Rush of Buffalo, NY, and Laura (James) Cornell of Memphis, TN. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 Tuesday March 7, 2017 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, with two hours of visitation prior to the service.
