Francis H. 'Frank' Szlanfucht, 55 of Shelbyville, Michigan and formerly of South Bend, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010. Frank was born November 22, 1955 in Mishawaka to the late Walter S. and Aleen (Siders) Szlanfucht. Frank attended high school in Galien, Michigan and then served his country in the U.S. Navy before his honorable discharge. Later, Frank obtained his Associates Degree in Executive Assistant Travel from Davenport College. Surviving are his siblings; John (Janet) Keller of Mishawaka, Glen (Mildred) Keller in Tennessee, Vic (Hazel) Keller in Florida, Mildred (Charles) Robison of Mishawaka, Donna Proud in Texas, Walter (Dottie) Keller in Tennessee, Ronald Szlanfucht in Florida, Stanley Szlanfucht in Massachusetts; his half brother, Jack (Shirley) Szlanfucht and several nieces & nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his brothers; Tom Keller, Carl Szlanfucht and Harold Szlanfucht. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Rev. Bob Vale will officiate the 12:00noon funeral service on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Frank enjoyed fishing, and singing karaoke. In his memory, the family''s preferred memorial is St. Jude''s Children''s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or at www.stjude.org.
