Frank Eddie Stephenson Jr., 75, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family, following a courageous battle with cancer. 

Frank was born on August 4, 1951, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Frank Stephenson Sr. and Delores (Carter) Stephenson. From an early age, Frank developed a strong work ethic. He was a talented craftsman and welder who took great pride in his work. He eventually put those skills to use at the Hummer plant, where his dedication, talent, and craftsmanship were deeply valued. 

Frank was a man who knew how to make the most of life. He had a gift for storytelling and could turn even the simplest moment into a story that had everyone laughing. He loved to joke, tease, and make the people around him smile. His stories will be told for years to come, not only because of what he said, but because of the way he could bring an entire room to life. 

Frank met the love of his life, Mary Falvey, and the two were married on July 3, 1987, in Mishawaka. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, family, and countless memories. Through all of life’s seasons, Mary remained by his side, and their life together was one of the greatest chapters of Frank’s story. 

Above all else, Frank’s greatest pride and greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and an even prouder great-grandfather. His family was his greatest accomplishment, and there was never any doubt about how much they meant to him. 

Frank also had a passion that was nearly impossible to miss: NASCAR. When the race was on, you had better not touch that television. Racing wasn’t just something he watched, it was something he genuinely loved. 

His beloved Labradors held an especially important place in his heart. They were his faithful companions, his fur babies, and cherished members of the family. They brought him comfort, companionship, and unconditional love throughout the years. 

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Mary C. Stephenson; his children, Paula (Jeff) Christman and Nathan Stephenson; his grandchildren, Ryan (Sara) Hodgson, Rachel (Brandon) Hodgson, Ashley (Gavin) Stanley, and Breanna Stephenson; and his eight great-grandchildren, Logan( Hoss), Jackson , Logan (Lolo), Cooper, Tucker, Charlotte, Cameron, and Bristol. He is also survived by his brothers, Terry (Sandy) Stephenson and Danny (Diane) Stephenson; his sister, Kathy (Bob) Royer; and numerous friends whose lives were made better by knowing him. 

Frank leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured by a career, a title, or an accomplishment. His legacy is found in the family he loved so fiercely. He was the kind of man whose absence will be felt in the little things, a familiar voice, a good story, a laugh from across the room, or a NASCAR race playing on the television. Frank will be deeply missed by many. 

No services are scheduled at this time. Frank will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, Indiana, in the Garden of Liberty.
