Franklin W. Cowsert, 82, of Elkhart passed away on Thursday September 21, 2023.  He was born on November 4, 1940 in Mishawaka, IN to Robert and Velma (Murphy) Cowsert.  He Married Patricia Pugh on January 16, 1965.  She preceded him in death.

Frank is survived by his children: Mick (Gail) Cowsert, Tammie (James) Shock and David Wise; 5 grandchildren: Trisha (Nate) Lang, Tyler (Lyndsie Basham) Cowsert, Brandon (Ashlee) Roher, Bryce Cowsert and Nicholas Cowsert; and 8 great-grandchildren: Shealyn, Ashdon, Sophie, Matthew, Evelyn, Xander, Mikey and Charlotte; as well as a brother, Richard ( Paula) Cowsert.  In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Cowsert; his parents; 3 sisters, June, Louise and Shirley; and 6 brothers: Robert, Mike, Charlie, Joe, Jack and Dennis.

Frank owned Cowsert Septic after his retirement from NIBCO.  He served in the United States Army.  He enjoyed playing basketball and jogging.  He liked riding his motorcycle.  He used to be on bowling leagues and tournaments at Regal Lanes.

His wife was the love of his life and he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday September 27, 2023 from 11-1 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home 10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN 46561.  A Funeral Service in his honor will begin at 1 PM.   Pastor Keith McFarren will officiate.  Burial will immediately follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
