G. Elaine Quick, age 64, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013 at Elkhart General Hospital. Elaine was born December 8, 1948 in Elkhart to the late Thomas and Betty (Doncaster) Ritchie. On February 2, 1965, she married DeWayne L. Quick.

DeWayne survives, along with their children, Brent Quick of Elkhart, David R. (Kendra) Quick of Dunlap, David K. (Connie) Ritchie of Goshen, Sherry Quick of Elkhart, and Robin Cutcher of Toledo, Ohio. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Elaine is also survived by her sister, Betty Price of Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her son DeWayne L. Quick Jr. and her sister Kathy Ritchie.

Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the 2:00pm funeral service on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Elaine was employed by Miles Laboratories in the production department for 27 years. She enjoyed bowling, was a Girl Scout Leader, and spending time with her co-workers and family. She also collected Raggedy Ann, Pepsi Cola, and American Flag memorabilia, along with blown glass figurines. Elaine also enjoyed working in her flower garden. Ten years ago, she began a family tradition in which she took all of her Granddaughters to see a play around Thanksgiving time at the Round Barn Theatre.
