Gail J. North, age 91, of Elkhart, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday February 18, 2017 at kindred Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 2, 1925 to Gail & Flo North of Lancaster OH. Gail was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid fisherman and following retirement from Smith Transfer, he enjoyed more fishing trips to Leech Lake, Minnesota. He and his wife also enjoyed extensive traveling throughout the US and several trips to Israel. Gail is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Adeline North; his five daughters, Connie (Roger) Chrispyn of Goshen, Sharon (Larry) Brown of Osceola, Carolyn Shetler of Goshen, Carolyn Norman of Richmond VA and Linda (Stan) Stevens of Piney Flats TN; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and two nephews, Donny (Kathy) Monroe of Toledo OH and Bobby (Nancy) Gray of Bowling Green KY. Gail was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, a daughter, a granddaughter and two great-grandsons. Visitation for family & friends will be from 11:00am until 12:00 Noon on Wednesday February 22nd at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, followed by funeral services at 12:00 Noon.
