Gary L. Southwell, 74, of Lake Alfred, FL and formerly of Elkhart & Osceola, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014 in Winter Haven, FL. The Hillsdale, MI native was born March 27, 1940 to Kenneth & Artis (Colbert) Southwell and was raised in Jonesville, MI with his grandparents. Gary had retired as a driver and salesman for Nickel''s Bakery in Bryan, OH and Elkhart and also owned the Night Fall Motel in Osceola. Gary enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes and spending time with friends & family, especially his grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Christopher Southwell; sisters, LaDeana Sessoms & Janet May and his brother, Roger Southwell. Gary is survived by daughters, Victoria (Kim Headley) Landis of Angola and Roxanna Southwell of Lake Alfred, FL; sons, Rick (Mary) Southwell of Logansport, Kenneth (Angele) Southwell of Elmendorf, TX and Gary (Sheila) Southwell of Lagrange; brothers, Kenneth (Donna) Southwell of Palmyra, MI, and Duane (Kathy) Armstrong in Missouri; sister, Cheryl Armstrong in North Dakota; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and several step-children & step-grandchildren.
