Genevieve H. Lehner, 96, of Mishawaka, died Friday July 1, 2016. The South Bend native was born June 19, 1920 and had retired from the offices of Kresge, Robertson''s and Wyman''s Department Stores. A devoted wife and mother; she & her husband recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary at a family gathering at LaSalle Grille. Genevieve enjoyed cooking, crafts and football, especially Notre Dame, always friendly and outgoing; she could initiate a conversation with a total stranger. She was devout in her faith and a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church; she had also been active in the Homemakers Club of Michiana. In addition to her parents, Genevieve was also preceded in death by her son, Joseph M. Lehner as well as siblings, John Micinski and Virginia Markiewcz. She is survived by her husband, Joseph J. Lehner of Mishawaka; her daughter, Mary (Kim) Lehner Gamble of Mishawaka and her son Larry Lehner of Long Beach, CA. Fr. John Eze will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4508 Vistula Road. Friends may call Wednesday morning, from 9:30-10:30 in the church. Interment in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements through Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy.
