Gertrude U. Moore, 96, died Sunday May 12, 2013 at Miller''s Merry Manor in Culver. The Abbotsford, Wisconsin native was born February 22, 1917 to Reinhold and Eva Marie (Yohr) Prange. She was raised by her beloved grandmother, Amelia Yohr until age 9. On June 22, 1935 Gertrude married John T. Moore, who preceded her in death. She worked for 12 years at Curtis Products and was a member of Crossroads Church in Plymouth. Gertrude served God for 32yrs at First Church of God in the nursery and she loved to cook & bake for friends & family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her sons, Richard J. and Kenneth H. Moore; an infant daughter, Gloria Darlene Moore and her sister, Esther Perkins. Survivors include her sons, Frederick E. "Bud" (Carol) Moore of Plymouth and Larry G. Moore of Lakeville; daughter Dixie Diane (Larry) Dykhuizen of Grovertown; 21 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 28 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services 11:00 Friday May 17, 2013 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. with calling one hour prior to services. Calling also on Thursday 4-8pm in the funeral home. Entombment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family''s preferred memorial is the Center for Hospice Care of St. Joseph County, 215 Red Coach Drive, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
