Obituary

Geza Bralick, 90, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, devotion to his heritage, and a deep love for family and friends. Born on December 2, 1934, to Frank and Anna Bralick, Geza grew up in a close-knit family where values of respect, loyalty, and perseverance were instilled in him from an early age.

After graduating from high school, Geza began his career at Dodge Manufacturing in Mishawaka, where he worked diligently until enlisting in the United States Army. His service to his country was a proud chapter in his life, and upon returning to civilian life, Geza resumed his work at Dodge. Later, the company relocated to South Carolina, but his roots remained firmly planted in the Mishawaka community.

Geza's Hungarian heritage was an essential part of who he was, and he took great pride in being a member of the William Penn Club, a social association that celebrated the culture and traditions of those of Hungarian descent. His commitment to his ancestry was reflected in the strong bonds he maintained with friends and family throughout his life.

Geza's love for the outdoors was another defining aspect of his character. He cherished the time spent in nature, especially during the many trips he took with friends to Canada for hunting and fishing. These excursions were filled with camaraderie, laughter, and the shared joy of the natural world. Geza was also a passionate bowler, regularly participating in leagues and enjoying the fellowship of fellow bowlers. His competitive spirit was always evident, yet his joy in the game was never about winning, but about the friendships and fun that came with it.

Geza was a lifelong supporter of Notre Dame, and his dedication to the school's athletics was unwavering. For many years, he could be found in the stands at the women's basketball home games, where his enthusiasm and unwavering support made him a familiar face to fans and players alike. His love for the game and for the university was a testament to his loyalty and community spirit.

Geza was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Anna Bralick, and his siblings: Frank, Joseph, Edward, Carl, Robert, Frances, Anna, and Irene. He is survived by his sister, Julia Pozwilka, as well as a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and countless friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, generosity, and unwavering support.

Though Geza was a quiet and humble man, those who knew him understood the strength of his character. His life was a testament to hard work, loyalty, and love—for his family, his heritage, and his community. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones for generations to come.
