Gilbert Thomas "Skip" Quick, Jr., 74 of Elkhart, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013. The Fort Wayne native was born May 23, 1939 to Gilbert T. and Genevieve (Householder) Quick (Sr.), who have preceded him in death. Skip was an entrepreneur, operating a number of different businesses over the years. A member of Life Tabernacle Church, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf and was an avid Colts fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert & Roger Quick and his sister, Madonna Tinsley. He is survived by his daughter, Tammy S. (Kevin) Hensley of Milford; sons, Gilbert Thomas Quick III and Mark A. (Monica) Quick, both of Elkhart; his grandchildren, Crystal D. (Ronald) Crawford, Mark A. Quick, Jr., Christopher A. Quick, Jessica R. Quick and Stephanie R. Quick, all of Elkhart; great-grandchildren, Cody A. and Olivia G. Crawford; sisters, Virginia (Robert) Workman of Orland and Madeline Allbaugh, both of Elkhart; brothers, Dewayne Quick & Rick Quick, both of Elkhart; sisters, Kathy Canfield of Elkhart & Glenda (Steve) Borelli of Queens Court, AZ and brother, John (Pollie) Quick of Elkhart.
