Gladys E. Williams, 92, of Mishawaka, passed away at 10:05 pm, Wednesday, April 11, 2012 in Golden Living Center, Mishawaka. Gladys was born on March 23, 1920, the daughter of the late Alonzo and Laura (Killian) Monger.
She is survived by two children, Claudia (Michael) Alkire and Bruce (Lottie) Williams both of South Bend. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Michael Alkire, Jr., Dustin Alkire, Michael C. Waite, and Yvonne Williams and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Marcia Waite, one brother, George Monger, and two sisters, Virginia Cronos and Freedie Johnson.
Gladys worked as a seamstress and she loved to eat popcorn while doing crossword puzzles.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, April 13, 2012 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
