Glen E. Dawson, 81 of Osceola, died Sunday August 11, 2013. The Bremen native was born August 25, 1931 to Fred E. & Rose M. (Martin) Dawson, who have both preceded him in death. Glen served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and on April 28, 1957 he married Maxine L. Steele in Elkhart. He was employed by United Parcel Service (UPS) from 1961 until his retirement in 1989. Glen enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren; he also liked playing golf and fishing, travelling the East & West coasts but especially enjoyed the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Glen is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Maxine Dawson of Osceola; his son, Mark (Sharon) Dawson of Bristol; daughters, April (John) Schultz of Mishawaka and Diane (Mark) Hale of Lakeville; sister, Shirley Kay Ballard of Mishawaka; grandchildren, Amber Dawson of Elkhart, Matthew Schultz of Mishawaka, Jacob Schultz of Oshkosh, WI, Joshua Schultz of Osceola, Emily Hale of Lakeville, Cody Dawson of Bristol, Taylor Dawson of Bristol and his great-grandson, Carter. Funeral Services 11:00 Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Chapel Hill funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy with calling one hour prior to services. Calling also on Wednesday from 4-8pm at the funeral home.
