Glen Allen Kentner, age 67, of Mishawaka, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Hospice House of St. Joseph County. Glen was born August 31, 1946 in Union County, Pennsylvania to the late Morris and Beulah (Walker) Kentner.
Surviving are his children, Tina Kentner of South Bend, Larry Kentner and Richard Kentner, both of Allegan, Michigan, and Allen Kentner of Vermont. Glen is survived as well by his sister, Linda Wieczorek of Carmel, Indiana and 7 grandchildren; Matthew Spriggs, Mark, Boyd Jr., Audrea LaBadie, Jessica & Crosby Kentner, and Zachariah and Jessica Kentner. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, Damien, Mason, Abel and Vince. Preceding him in death was a daughter, Dawn Kentner and a sister, Sharon Kentner.
There will be one hour of calling prior to the 2:00 pm funeral service on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola.
Glen served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era, and was honorably discharged. He worked for many years as an over the road truck driver before retiring at the age of 55. In his retirement, he enjoyed watching movies and spending time outdoors. He loved his job, fishing, reading, and going to the casino. He also was an avid fan of Notre Dame Football and Peyton Manning.
