Glenice Bennett 83, passed away Thursday evening at home after being exceptionally well taken care of by her loving family. Glenice was born to Kenneth and Hazel (Wolfgang) Treesh in Bremen, IN. Glenice had lived most of her life in the Michiana area. She worked as a supervisor for Penn Products for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed playing euchre and cooking. Her greatest love of all for her was her children and grandchildren who had a special place in her heart. On November 12, 1948, she married Laverne Bennett and they would stay married till his passing in 1989. Together they would raise two children. Surviving is her son, Robert(Karen) Bennett, daughter Karen(William) Meister, seven grandchildren, Tracy Vantine, Pamela Vantine, Scott Meister, Stephanie(Carl) Ginther, Shawn Bennett, Carrie Bennett and Jessica Bennett, seven great-grandchildren, Chad Vantine, Christopher Boggs, Caden Jaynes, Caitlyn Vantine, Camron Tarwacki, Noah Ames and Rylan Ginther. She was preceded in death by her parents and spouse. A gathering of friends and family will be Monday April 4, 2016 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home,10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN 46561 from 12:00 pm- 2:00 pm with a funeral service starting immediately after at 2:00 pm with Reverend Larry Christman officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The families preferred contribution may be made to Humane Society of St. Joseph County, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545 in Glenice's memory.
