ELKHART-Glenn R. Connelly, 86, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by his family. Glenn was born November 2, 1931 in Dongola, IL to the late William and Martha Connelly. Mr. Connelly wed Ms. Harriet Collison Martin in Elkhart on October 28, 1972. Together they celebrated 45 years of marriage. Glenn loved to hunt, especially for pheasant. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and spending time with his grandkids. Glenn served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a past member of Grace Baptist Church in Elkhart and a retiree of Kroger. Glenn is survived by his loving wife Harriet, stepsons, Mathew (Teresa) Martin, William (Carole) Martin, and Daniel (Patti) Martin, all of Elkhart; stepdaughter, Louise (Richard) Marshall of Fishers, IN; brother, Ernest (Aggie) Connelly of Morton Grove, IL, 10 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his stepson, Frederick Martin, 3 brothers & 2 sisters. Friends may call 12pm-2pm Monday April 2nd at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola. Service will follow at 2 pm with interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
