Gloria Mae (Myers) Helbling, 90, of Elkhart, entered into eternal rest on February 22, 2022. She was born on May 17, 1931 to the late Johnnie Henry and Ina (Miller) Myers in Larwill, IN. Gloria loved to sing, mushroom hunt, crafting, gardening, and riding her moped. She attended Troy Center School and Larwill High School. Gloria retired from CTS Corporation after approximately 25 years. She married Kenneth Frederick Helbling on August 7, 1949 in Columbia City, IN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Frederick Helbling; son, Bruce Allen Helbling; brothers, Garland Voyle Myers and Claude Vlouris Myers; and sisters, Wanda Joy Myers, Alta Marie (Myers) Miller, and Judy Ann (Myers) Latta.

Gloria is survived by her longtime companion, Gerald Crabb; son, Todd (Betty) Helbling; grandchildren Bruce Allen Helbling, Jr., Carrie Anne Frost, Joanne Michelle Helbling, Kenny Gene Helbling, David Lee Hunsberger, and Jillien Lynn Larson; 19 great grandchildren; and 7 great- great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home,10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN 46561. Burial will follow the funeral in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to First General Baptist Church.

Face masks are required to enter the funeral home.
