Godfrey Deejay Klaer

November 01, 1920– December 27, 2023

Godfrey Klaer 103, of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away on December 27, 2023. He is survived by his Grandchildren Corinne Kereszturi, Darrell Wade, Eric Wade, and William Wade; as well as numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Godfred & Cecile (Kittridge) Klaer, his wife Frances (Kohler) Klaer, a sister Joan Klaer, and a daughter Florine Wade.

Godfrey was before his time working as a computer programmer at Torrington.  He loved technology and anything new.  He was a very active man and loved gardening and landscaping. He was very close to his daughter (Florine) and lived with her until she passed.  When he was younger he enjoyed bowling and racing go carts.  He was an avid reader and collected books, acquiring 1,000's over his lifetime, establishing an extensive library.  He loved all subject and all topics. Above all he loved his family and the grandchildren fondly remember the billiard table at his home and playing with their grandfather.

A private family graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Friday January 05, 2024 at 2:00 pm.
