H. Lucille Cox, age 88, of Osceola, Indiana, passed away at 10:56 am Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Hospice House of Elkhart County following a brief illness. Lucille was born August 1, 1921 in Camp Creek, West Virginia to the late Cecil Fred and Nannie (Johnston) Moye.
Surviving are her children, Gary (Rhonda) Cox of Elkhart, Indiana and Christine Gwinn of Osceola, Indiana. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren. Lucille was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Monday, April 26, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
Lucille was employed by Chemcraft in Elkhart. Following her retirement, Lucille worked for Sam''s Club in Dunlap for several years. She enjoyed growing flowers in her garden, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. Lucille also attended the Methodist Church for many years.
