Harold Rex Hershberger, 86, formerly of Mishawaka, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025 in Midlothian, Virginia. He was born in LaGrange, IN on April 3, 1939, to the now late Daniel and Ella (Yoder) Hershberger. He married the love of his life Linda (Frauli) on June 28, 1964. She proceeded him in death in 2021. He is survived by his children, Steve (Kim), Mike (Audra), and Chris (Laura); grandchildren AJ (Jackie), Ryan (Jennifer) and Travis (Keeley) Fraser, Jay, Alex, Tony (Kaylee) and Nick Hershberger, Tiffany (Chad) Jones, Justin Avirom, and Jonathan Lee; great-grandchildren Molly, Kyle, Catherine, Sebastian, Sunny Rose, Iden, Vivian and Waylon.

"Rex," as he preferred to be called, graduated from Jimtown High School in 1958 and was part of their first football team. He was always a proud supporter of the Jimtown Jimmies and Penn High School, from where his boys graduated. He tried to attend as many football games as he could. He was always known as a quiet and friendly man, and one of his favorite things to do during the holidays was dressing up as Santa and riding his Gold Wing around Osceola.

Rex attended Acme Tool and Dye Designing School in South Bend, IN and worked for Dodge, Ashley Ward, and Elkhart Products, arranging the retiree coffee get-togethers for his coworkers at Elkhart Products for many years. He also owned and managed rental properties and delivered vans cross-country. Always keeping busy, his hobbies included woodworking and making maple syrup with his grandsons. He and Linda were active at First English Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mishawaka.

Viewing will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola on Sunday, December 21, from 2-6. An additional reception is scheduled for Monday, December 22 at 9am, with funeral at 10am and burial at 11 am.
