Obituary

Harold Oliver Kite

81, died on December 4, 2020

At Saint Joseph hospital in Mishawaka

Harold was born on August 28, 1939 in Clinton, IN to Harold William Kite and Leah Vivian Kite; both have preceded him in death.

On November 28, 1959 he married the love of his life, Dona Marie (Chaney), who survives. They were happily married 61 years.  They had 4 children together.  One preceded Harold in death: Tem (Valerie) Kite.  Three survive: Michelle (Randy) Hejza, Carolyn (Mark) Geyer, and Sally (Brian) Kemp.  He also leaves behind 3 grandchildren: Joseph and Joshua Hejza and Helen Olivia Kemp.  He had two siblings who preceded him in death: Carolyn Sue Kite and Harold Jr. and three surviving siblings: Deborah (Mike) Fine, Monica (Carlos) Arce, and Janice (Frank) Mikev.

Harold will be remembered for his love, kindness, and generosity toward his family and others.  As one of Jehovah's Witnesses since  October 6, 1973, he used his life to serve God and help others learn about the Bible.

He also loved to travel, continuing to work for Star Fleet Trucking until just weeks before his death.  Harold was well known by others for his skill as a musician, playing guitar and singing for people most of his life, and if you needed a laugh, you could always count on him to tell a joke and bring a smile to your face.  He will be greatly missed.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will be a virtual memorial at a later date.
