Obituary

Harold W. Timmons, 72, of Elkhart, passed away at 10:30 am, Friday, October 16, 2009 in Elkhart County Hospice House, Elkhart. Harold was born on January 19, 1937 in Goshen, IN to the late Harold M. and Winifred (Wilden) Timmons. On June 25, 1955 in Goshen, he married Patsy D. Yoder.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patsy of Elkhart, four daughters, Paula (Ray) Henderson of Camp Walker, Korea, Nancy (Mike) Hanson of Elkhart, JoAnn (Stephen) Thomas of Elkhart and Judith (Frank) Cockerham of Elkhart; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Patricia (Don) Bastine of Elkhart and Jean Kincaid of Goshen.
Harold is a graduate of Elkhart High School, where he was the quarterback of the football team. He was a member of the National Guard and was on the Cleveland Township Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He worked as a journeyman electrician for CTS and Taylor Products. He was an avid bowler and skeet shooter and was also the coach of his daughter''s softball teams.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, October 20, 2009 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 21, 2009 in the funeral home. Rev. Dale Turner will officiate. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
