Hazel L. Crowder, 84, of Goshen, formerly of Osceola, passed away at 3:15 pm, Saturday, November 26, 2011 in Greencroft Nursing Home, Goshen. Hazel was born on June 5, 1927, the daughter of the late Albert H. and Ethel M. (Kryder) Bole. She married Walter L. Crowder in 1962 and they separated in 1986.
She is survived by her daughter, Vicki (Bart) McGlinsey of Elkhart, two granddaughters, Kaala Baker of Goshen and Jarena (Jeremi) Russell of Elkhart. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Harris, sister, Marie Cleavland, and four brothers, James, Edward, Jack, and Albert Bole.
Hazel was a member of Riverview General Baptist Church, Elkhart and recently Cedar Road Missionary Church, Osceola. She bravely fought and beat Tuberculosis twice and also beat breast cancer twice in her lifetime.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, November 30, 2011 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 1, 2011 in the funeral home with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
